ELLE WHILE
THEATRE DIRECTOR
Elle is the Artistic Director of Pentabus Theatre and an associate artist of Shakespeares's Globe. She has worked throughout the UK in leading regional theatres, at the National Theatre, the RSC, The Young Vic, The Old Vic and on numerous West End productions. Her work has also travelled internationally and won awards at both the Edinburgh and Adelaide festivals.

Elle has worked with leading artists throughout the world developing her craft and commitment to viscerally truthful storytelling. She has been associate to and mentored by the UK's leading female directors. This has lead to a dedication to championing female artists and female stories. Exploring identity and our sense of place is also a thread that runs through her work. The majority of her work is text based, from Shakespeare to developing new plays with writers. However, her passion for physical storytelling has also lead her to work with dance and cabaret companies developing non-text based narratives.
